The Fens span several counties including parts of Norfolk, they are a low lying landscape which was originally marshland. Over the centuries this low lying land has been drained with a network of pretty wind pumps, dykes and ditches which form a series of waterways through the rich landscape that makes up the Fens today.
Due to their flatness the Fens make the perfect spot to enjoy a cycling holiday. For walkers there are plenty of trails to follow including some long distance ones such as the Fen Rivers Way which runs for 50 miles between King's Lynn and Cambridge. Other activities include fishing, sailing and horse riding.
