Great Yarmouth is one of the UK's most popular seaside resorts. The pleasure
beach with it's fun fair and other seaside attractions make Great Yarmouth and
ideal destination for families with children no matter what the weather. The
other beach areas offer golden sands and waters great for bathing.
Great Yarmouth has two piers, Wellington Pier which has a ten pin bowling centre and the Britannia Pier which offers restaurants, bars, amusements and live entertainment.
There are ramps down to the beach in several locations and Great Yarmouth has provided five specially designed beach wheelchairs which have wheels designed to glide over the sands. For more information or to book a chair contact the Tourist Information Centre on 01493 846346 .
Along the promenade there are plenty of places to eat and drink as well as amusement arcades and shops.
Dogs on the Beach
Dogs are not permitted on the pleasure beach or the Central Beach areas but are allowed to the north and south of the piers.
There are plenty of car parks close to the beach and in the town itself.
